Student Web Tools

WebNotes

"Finally, a web annotation that makes sense." With WebNotes you can highlight notes and stick notes to web pages, organize notes in folders and email links to others. The highlighting and collecting are done via a browser toolbar or bookmark, and the service costs $300/user/year or $35/user/month. Any information source that can be accessed over the Web can be annotated, although if it is a password-protected service, the viewer must also have access.
As a student you are continuously doing research. Any note taker knows that highlighting and sticky notes is a must and now you can do this on the web. You have to stay organized with all the information you come across on the Internet. WebNotes allows you to categorize and organize through a filling system. You also have the option to share your findings with others.
This tool was incredibly straight forward and easy to use. I was impressed with the ease of setting up this tool and can see myself sharing this site information with other students, family and friends. The best part I learned about this tool is that when you want to share pages via e-mail or link, those that you share it with do not need to have WebNotes installed to access your annotations.
